I took this screen capture a little while ago and then forgot to blog it - my apologies for my tardiness.
It just goes to show how seemingly innocuous words can be picked up by automation in software with very amusing results.
Click the thumbnail to see the full size image, and take note of the google ads on the left of the page.
Apparently you can buy shaved pubic hair on ebay! No wonder ebay are pulling their ads from google (yes, I know that’s not the reason)
And you can seemingly find shaving women at Ask! Which is all very nice, but not really my kinda search!
I am assuming the blog post about the personal grooming website is what triggered it, but I think it does go to show how automation is only as good as the parameters it is allowed to use. More work needed me thinks, eh Google?
ARGH!
My tighty whiteys are now tighty yellowish…
They are a fetching shade of ‘duster left in washing machine by flatmate’.
Any suggestions of how to successfully bleach ‘duster yellow’ out of white underpants?
(shhhhh - don’t tell him, but I could also use some tips on how to get ‘duster yellow’ out of daddy’s 1st edition ‘Chunk London’ t-shirt!)
OK, I am into my second day with the Orange SPV E650 and my technojoy is still with me.
It is taking some adjusting to it from my Sony Ericsson W810i, mainly as my phone before that was a Sony Ericsson K750i, but so far it isn’t dampening my ardour for my new gadget.
Manual? What manual? No, of course I haven’t read it through from cover to cover!
Well a rather damp and dismal Sunday afternoon became more disappointing after our visit to the Soundwaves exhibition.
So Paul/’daddy’ suggested we walk up to Columbia Road and regroup over a pint and some food in a pub he knew.
What a great pub it turned out to be!
Sundays are made for pubs like The Royal Oak!
Great old fashioned boozer with a welcoming feel, which seemed to be full of groups of friends in lively conversation. Music is eclectic and background rather than booming, with the only interruption on this occasion being an unexpected cheer that went up as Dame Shirley Bassey took to the stage at Glastonbury, which was being shown on a TV that I hadn’t even noticed in the corner.
Both of us ordered the pork belly with roast potatoes and roasted veg, which turned out to be in generous portions, well presented and absolutely delicious.
Crispy crackling, tasty meat, and a gravy that was out of this world! Veggies just how I like them! Crispy outsides to the roasties, and yet that fluffy inside.
This place has a bit of a gastropub reputation apparently, and the prices aren’t exactly bargain basement, but having eaten the food here it is more than worth it.
I would have no doubts about going back to eat, or even just for a drink as the atmosphere was great - I really liked this pub.

Soundwaves - A collaboration between Kinetica Museum and Cybersonica.
When I heard that ‘Kinetica’s next major exhibition will focus on artworks that explore, warp, collect and manipulate sound.’ (to quote their website) I was a little excited.
Having been to events like The Photophonic Experiment and also The Kitchen Motors, I was hoping for a similar quality.
Sadly, not the case.
Issue 1 - Many of the installations were either broken or not working properly. Now I have to admit that I only heard about this exhibition this weekend and it has been open for most of its 6 week term, but an interactive exhibition needs to be maintained so that people are still able to interact with it properly - frustrating!
Issue 2 - Bad layout. Several of the installations made quite subtle sounds - yet were installed so close to other more noisy installations that they were drowned out.
Issue 3 - No literature. There was supposed to be a guide as some of the installations had instructions on how best to use them - yet they had run out. This lead to people manhandling and becoming frustrated with some things because they did not know what they were for or how to use them.
Issue 4 - Out of control kids running round. At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man, I get very annoyed when there are kids running around, or in some cases wheeling around on their ‘heelies’, jumping on and damaging the exhibits (while I was there this happened to the curtain rail theramin). This may be an interactive exhibition but that does not mean a kids playground. I felt like giving the parents a slap as I really can’t blame the kids. Plus the staff at the museum should have been having a word with the parents to control their kids. No wonder so many exhibits were damaged or broken.
There are some very interesting bits, and some gems still stand out like the mechano toolbox instruments lit to create moving silhouettes on the wall. But what could have been a great thing to go and see and interact with, was hugely disappointing.
Come on Kinetica - sort it out!
Well it must have been a good night on Friday - because I still have a hangover and its now Sunday afternoon.
Chunk has moved from its old home to Area in Vauxhall, and I think its a good move. It was certainly very busy.
I also enjoyed it immensely as it was my first night out in the 6 weeks since my op. Although it seems my tolerance for alcohol is somewhat diminished - I was bladdered by the time I headed home.
Go check Chunk out - It’s definitely the Friday night bear social that it promises to be.
Finally, I started my hydrotherapy program, and it was actually really good.
The pool is at a very comfortable 34°C and I was amazed at how good it felt to have the brace off, and be able to move my arm around supported by the water.
Your buoyancy means that you can exercise the relevant part of your body with most of the pressure and gravity taken off it.
I was amazed by how much more mobility I had in my shoulder than I expected.
More than that though, it felt like I was actually starting to make some progress other than sitting around and waiting for things to heal on their own.
I am scheduled to have 1 or 2 hydro sessions per week for the next 3 or 4 weeks, until I have enough strength to do some more land based work.
More soon….
If you were to look up the word ‘Hell’ in the dictionary, you would find the following description….
Hell - The week before the start of Sale at Selfridges as seen from the point of view of the organising staff.
Constantly moving goalposts, late deliveries of equipment, short tempers, changes of mind and plan, long hours, paperwork at home (almost 10 hours worth so far this week), lack of time to blog, general rushed-off-feet-ness - and all in the much fun blame culture we seem to operate in.
OK - so the lack of time to blog is a minor issue - but annoying nonetheless.
Hadn’t even posted a tweet/what I’m doing since the weekend.
Ah well - done it now.
OK .... So I don't live that high up anymore.
I moved. I miss the view loads, but I don't miss the stairs if the pissy lifts break, or some of the neighbours (see pissy lifts).
I kept the name 200feet cos I liked it - so sue me!
Plus some would say I have one or two views of my own - cue 200feet.com.

Randomness suggests....
I think on-stage nudity is disgusting, shameful and damaging to all things American. But if I were 22 with a great body, it would be artistic, tasteful, patriotic and a progressive religious experience.
